relate to. She's got that universal appeal". - Producer, Eddie Mashall Gigi's third CD, "Too Close for Comfort" was recorded at Soundmixers Studios with Damian Mazuar as the Engineer. Gigi went into the studio with her guitar player Jimi Fiano to record the single, "Before We Start" and decided to let Jimi produce this project. "He has awesome ears and great vision" and "he is tremendously talented". During the recording process, Gigi continued to write, and with the band, came up with a great arrangement on a song that she had been working on. We decided to keep them in the studio and record this other tune, "Walkin' a Line". The chemistry was growing between Jimi and Gigi and the outcome was some of the best work they ever accomplished. Gigi had worked with Jimi for many years, but never to this capacity. They kept it light hearted and had time to work with. It was comfortable and layed back. It became an ongoing project, adding song after song, until "Too Close for Comfort" became one of the best record's they have ever recorded.
It's been a long time coming, but Gigi is breaking the barriers and
finally getting her music out beyond her beloved home state of Florida.
"Pony Ride", the second single from "Too Close for Comfort"
just entered the Top 10 on FMQB's Top 40 AC Chart at #5. "Before We Start", the
heartfelt mid-tempo rocker and first single was released this past spring
and peaked at #11 on FMQB's Adult Contemporary chart, receiving loads of airplay
everywhere from Maryland, Iowa and Kentucky to Bermuda and Maui.
